When we pay for health insurance, it’s difficult to wrap our minds around paying out-of-pocket for services not covered under our insurance plan. And sadly, if you’re looking to get functional and integrative care, most insurance companies have not caught up with the time yet, and don’t cover these services. The total expenses can often make integrative care seem out of reach.

Pricing and Payment

A significant factor affecting the price of Functional Medicine appointments is specialty lab cost. An average cost of specialty labs can range from $200 - $1000. These cost can make functional medicine testing feel overwhelming.

But don’t stress, we want you to know that Rupa Health is on a mission to make root cause medicine easily accessible to all practitioners and patients alike.

In order to do this, we now support multiple payment options for specialty labs and Medicare coverage with many of Genova’s tests.

This can help take the burden off the upfront cost of Root Cause Medicine.

How does Rupa Health’s Pricing Work?

Test pricing is the same whether you or your patient pays for the order. We always give patients the practitioner wholesale price for lab tests, along with a 7% ordering fee (which helps Rupa cover our costs!). Most of the time, this still comes out to less than what a patient would pay the lab directly. You can check out all of our lab test cost in our catalog here.
