The Urine Halides test analyzes iodine, as well as exposure to and retention of bromide and fluoride, to provide a comprehensive assessment of iodine sufficiency and antagonistic halides. This test is performed before and after the administration of a loading dose of iodide/iodine. You must prescribe the loading dose for your patient and provide them with the administration instructions.
