The HIV Antigen/Antibody (HIV Ag-Ab) test is a combined test that checks for both HIV antibodies and the p24 antigen, a protein made by the virus. This two-in-one approach allows for earlier and more accurate detection of HIV, the virus that leads to AIDS.
