SARS-CoV-2 S1-RBD Antibodies

The new Roche SARS-CoV-2 antibody assay has received FDA EUA for qualitative and semiquantitative detection of antibodies to the SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) protein’s receptor binding domain. Positive results indicate the development of active immunity after vaccination. This test looks for antibodies that indicate a recent or prior infection with COVID-19.

The Long COVID Panel is used to detect three major viruses (EBV, HHV-6, and SARS-CoV-2) associated with long COVID and autoimmunity. It has been found that increased levels of antibodies against EBV and HHV-6 correlate with the severity of long COVID.

This panel measures antibodies against six different viruses (EBV, CMV, HSV-1, HSV-2, HHV-6, VZV) that are involved in different inflammatory autoimmune diseases, chronic fatigue syndrome or myalgic encephalitis, neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, and neurological disorders such as Guillain-Barré syndrome and multiple sclerosis.
