The SpectraCell Micronutrient Test analyzes 31 vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients to determine nutritional deficiencies. It also analyzes the performance and functional deficiencies of these micronutrients.
Micronutrients are vitamins and minerals required in small quantities to ensure normal metabolism, growth, and physical well‐being.
Almost every physiological function in the body requires micronutrients for optimal function. Producing and releasing energy, strengthening the immune system, reducing systemic inflammation, protecting against free radical damage, maintaining a healthy hormonal balance, slowing down cellular aging, promoting the health of all tissues, and protecting against the development, progression, and recurrence of cancer are some of the critical processes where micronutrients are required.
Medicine recognizes that every patient is biochemically unique. At the cellular level, nutritional status varies profoundly from one individual to another and even in the same person throughout their lifetime.
Spectracell’s Micronutrient Test Panel analyzes and evaluates how 31 different vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino/fatty acids, and metabolites work within a person’s cells.
The test will also reveal how well cells can withstand oxidative stress, how well cells are metabolizing carbohydrates and how cells function when launching an immune response.
A blood sample is required for the test. Fasting is not required.
