The Blood Spot Hormone Trio test assesses the three primary sex hormone levels using a fingerstick. This profile tests waking levels of estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone and serves as an alternative to the Saliva Hormone Trio for individuals who have difficulty producing enough saliva for testing or who are using sublingual hormones that might interfere with the saliva test. When testing in a dried blood spot, the testosterone measurement reflects the total testosterone rather than the free (unbound) testosterone.
