Ordering the LRA Basic Panel with ELISA / ACT Biotechnologies

The LRA Basic Panel is a comprehensive food and environmental sensitivity test that detects delayed hypersensitivities to:

  • 66 commonly consumed foods
  • 15 environmental chemicals
  • 15 additives and preservatives
  • 28 molds
  • 20 color additives

LRA by ELISA/ACT® tests uses a breakthrough technology that allows the laboratory, for the first time, to observe immune reactions of specialized white cells (lymphocytes) just as they occur in your body. By looking directly at lymphocytes, the LRA detects all three types of delayed food and chemical hypersensitivities, type 2 (includes IgA, IgM, IgG), type 3 Immune Complex, and type 4 T cell-mediated.

Which Patients is the LRA Basic Panel Best Used For?

The LRA Basic Panel should be considered when patients present with simple, recent-onset conditions or symptoms of food & environmental allergies.

Examples of symptoms commonly reported

  • Unexplained loose stools or constipation
  • Gas, cramps, and bloating
  • Skin conditions (eczema, acne, psoriasis, and dermatitis)
  • Headaches (not caused by tight muscles)
  • Brain Fog
  • Joint pain
  • Vitamin and mineral deficiencies (due to an inflamed small and large intestine)
  • Autoimmune diseases

How to Use the LRA Basic Panel Results

The Test Results include information on the following:

  • Strong Reactions
  • Moderate Reactions
  • Non-Reactive Items
  • Detailed Descriptions of Reactive Items

Avoiding reactive items can break the cycle of impaired defense and repair, allowing your body to start the recovery and repair process.

  • Patients with strong reactions should avoid strong reactors for six (6) months to help reduce the burden on the immune system and restore their body’s ability to repair.
  • Patients with moderate reactions should avoid moderate reactors for three (3) months to reduce the burden on the immune system and restore their body’s ability to repair.

LRA Basic Panel also comes with nutritional, supplemental, and behavioral recommendations based on the patient’s answers to the health assessment questionnaire.

Note: This test cannot be ordered for patients under 2 years of age.

About the Test

The LRA Basic Panel measures delayed hypersensitivities to 66 commonly consumed foods, 15 environmental chemicals, 15 additives and preservatives, 28 molds, and 20 color additives. It is recommended for patients with simple, recent-onset conditions or symptoms. This panel cannot be ordered for patients younger than two years of age.
